Every year, across the world, more than 83,000 young people under the age of 20 die as the result of a cerebrovascular accident (CVA or stroke)! Which is equivalent to 125 people a day. And the number of CVAs affecting those aged between 20 and 65 has leapt by 25% over the course of the last 20 years and is expected to double by 2030! As we approach World Stroke Day on 29 October, these figures are bound to cause concern.
